關於motu midi timepiece av問題

請問各位大大我是新來的拜託幫幫我
兩台mtp av 走mac g3 sirieal port
請問如何將它們串聯並且在內部做好設定而可以同時走16個midi in out
這問題困擾我很久了請各位大大幫幫忙謝謝

方法如下：
0.一台的後面是電腦Icon的接電腦，然後有一個長的像是棋盤的那邊接另一台。
1. 到GLOBAL HARDWARE SETUP.
2. 找NET PORT=MAC然後選擇到NET PORT=MTP.
3. 第二台MTP AV也是一樣設定成這樣。
4. 第二台上，切換到THIS BOX ID的頁面，選擇到BOX 9-16
5. 打開FreeMIDI，選擇Update Interfaces(在Configuration menu裡面，然後按下scan鍵即可。

謝謝你我已經照做了~也看到在scan當中下面那一台有閃過一排綠燈掃瞄狀
可是free midi在當中還是只有8個in outㄝ
是否還需要自己選擇到mtp av 2那個選項(在Configuration menu裡面)
或是我沒有偵測成功
一直都是這問題
之前也有這樣做過你所告訴我的步驟
但是就是無法驅動下面一台找到連接它的音源
所以很困擾~~是否能麻煩你或各位大大幫幫我

試試以下方法
1.關掉所有的Midi設備或是不要連接上MTP AV
2.按住Panic鍵不放重新開機，這樣會Reset MTP AV(不過步驟都要重來)

依然不行嗚~~如果我的線材有問題
它在scan時候就不會閃一排綠燈
可是它已經閃綠燈了啊~~
為什麼要折磨我那麼久
很慘說~~~謝謝你喔

If yours isn't USB, then you should try:

1. switch directions on the Serial cable

2. What computer are you using? Are you using Gport, etc? If so, check extensions to see that G3 modem is off and the Gport extension is on.

3. Check to see that AppleTalk is off.

4. Take the MTP AV out of rack and kick it!
Try to kill it -- it will listen now!

5. sometimes the cables are problematic,
so have other ones to check.

I have some MIDI cables that work with Module A
but not with Module B and they are all okay...

Hmm... strange but who cares...

I have a MTP AV too (the non-USB one) and this
is how I work with it --- especially, #4 can make
it work well!

不過很可惜的是我是舊型的mtpav不是usb的
還是搞不定等待人來拯救

I used to set up my Mac 7600 MIDI system using one MTP II & one MTP AV (serial) 5 (or 6) years ago. The whole procudure is somewhat complicated which wasn't stated clearly in manul.
I can't remember the specific procedure,but I can give you some direction you should know:
1. Hooking 2 device & Mac correctly as Paul said in last post.
2. Before setup free midi, you should run 'MTP/Express console' (can be downloaded from motu's site) to setup MTPs correctly (including box 1,2 and matrix....) .
3. Not only check with front panel in MTP (one is setup 1-8 ,another is 9-16),you should check freemidi aslo.

After upper setting, you can communicate 2 MTPs from DP succefully,now you will have 16 ports in freemidi.
