Taylor 吉他重新挑戰「高檔」聲音的市場

Taylor 吉他在外型設計與行銷上，無疑地是 AG 的翹楚，深受中外藝人的喜愛，人們也常常可以在流行歌手的專輯或是 MV 發現這個品牌的蹤影。尤其在 2000年 Taylor 兼之實施售價保護策略---在網路上不得公佈售價，避免因為熱賣削價競爭，雖讓一些傳統良好的店家在美國不適應甚至抵制，然而在保護利潤的動作上他是成功的。

如果說 Taylor 的老闆 Robert Taylor 有什麼遺憾的，就是在人們嚴肅談論關於依據音色選擇吉他時，常常跟他同時期其他製琴工廠會先被考慮到，如 Bill Collings 的 Collings 吉他、Richard Hoover 的 Santa Cruz 吉他、James Goodall 的 Goodall 吉他等等，甚至於 Martin custom shop , 在這種考量下都還有可能比 Taylor 的高檔琴出線。所以如果要說 Robert 心中會有什麼遺憾，大概就是在嚴苛的聲音比較上一爭短長了。

Taylor 吉他最近有兩個策略：一是增加新的產品線，由加寬吉他腰身與下半琴體，讓聲音的 punch 更好，提供更鮮明的 bass ，價位也顯得有些誠意，定價在 400-500 系列之中，雖然跟兩千年的 Taylor 售價比起來，真的普遍貴上一截。

Taylor 的 GS 系列，有官網連接http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/gs/，上面有 video 檔，如果你有不錯的 DA 跟耳機是連接電腦的話，應該是容易聽出其優點。

第二個策略是類似 Martin custom shop , 專門小組製造高檔吉他，琴型會與 GS 系列相像，使用的材質與工夫當然更講究，實售也是從三四千美金起跳。














這個 group 的品牌，會以 Robert Taylor 的名字，叫做 R.Taylor

也無所謂高不高級， -9 系列就用 Englemann spruce , Eastern Indian Rosewood

Basic Price和910差不多,不過Option加一加就很可觀了!!

Taylor Guitars...
我自己是蠻喜歡的,7系列以上的都有不錯的表現,6系列以下的有些真的是...很糟啊!!
近年來我倒覺得Taylor的琴沒有以前的Taylor好,不知道是心理因素還是這幾年我玩過的剛好都是這樣?
今年初有個客戶帶他的814來錄音,想說可以見識一下聲音,結果很失望...=_=
Presentation系列的還沒有機會把玩過,不知道聲音如何..不過一把10000美金起跳,價格就夠嚇人的了!!
預算允許的狀況下,還是買個914ce來爽爽比較實在^^
十幾萬啊...>"<
