PowerCore Software Updated to Version 1.6.1
August 2, 2002 -- TC Works has updated PowerCore, the open DSP hardware platform for any VST or MAS recording application, to Version 1.6.1. The update brings further improved performance to all PowerCore users, regardless of platform or host application.

The handling of sample-rate changes and the system functionality with the DSound VL2 Multichannel Valve Interface Plug-In have been enhanced. Additionally, improved automation, especially for Cubase SX and Nuendo, as well as greater compatibility of the Plug-Ins with the latest host application versions are part of this update.

In multiple PowerCore card systems, all DSP cards can now run personalized Plug-Ins, such as Master X3 and DSound's VL2 Multichannel Valve Interface.

For Windows users, the new version brings general optimizations for use with XP and improved system configurations with Windows 98. MOTU MAS users on Mac OS can benefit from full MIDI support for running Plug-Ins such as Waldorf's D-Coder and the included PowerCore 01 synth. Using PowerCore with Digital Performer is now easier than ever. With fully MOTU compatible Plug-in presets, significantly less RAM is needed and CPU processing requirements are reduced.
