are u really sure that YAMAHA is going to launch MOTIF rack version?
I am about to buy a MOTIF7 in Shanghai in April...
Have u (or has anyone) ever tried it? How about the tone?

The Motif is really great! It's got the best of all the Yamaha has to offer in one package but the only problem that is you got to buy another keyboard...

I haven't heard any definite news that a rackmount is coming out but I'm sure it's in the works -- everythings in a rack these days....

I already got a CS6R expanded so it's gonna haveta last me until the next Yamaha product....

Motif -- great for r&b, ballads, and stuff like that. Triton is more geared for hip hop though.... Just depends on what you like... EP's are the BEST -- But of course, Yamaha has had the monopoly on that with the DX7, 816, etc...

Thanks for your advice...much appreciated!
I have tried KARMA and i was not very impressed, i have also tried Fantom and it's a good synth. But my problem is i need to buy a keyboard in Shanghai and it seems that Roland is not about to launch Fantom in china market after tis June. So, MOTIF comes in and becomes my top choice. By the way, I also have a Roland XV-5050.

I didn't hear anything about MOTIF's Rack ....But I think it will release sooner or later ....
When YAMAHA have enough moeny from Keyboard then They will make the MOTIF Rack....
There already some Example b4 ...Like Triton ... the korg stuff ...right ?
